Brother Bennos Wants You!

Brother Bennos is dedicated to feeding the hungry in our community. Hot meals are served and sack lunches are provided to the public six days a week at the Brother Bennos Center.

Volunteers are the heart and soul of Brother Benno's, because everyone from the Board President to the vegetable chopper is a volunteer. Without volunteers, Brother Benno’s would cease to exist!

Many members of the Mission San Luis Rey Parish community serve meals, raise money on the auxilary, serve on the Board, work in the thrift store, tutor children and more!

Some of the jobs available are:

Warehouse–sorting donated clothes, toys, and hygiene items.
Drivers and Helpers–picking up food from local grocery stores.
Clothing Room–assisting guests with selection of donated clothes.
Special Events–helping to decorate, prepare, or serve on special holidays.
Tutors–working with children at community sites to improve reading skills.
Children’s Saturday Reading Program–helping kids enjoy reading and selecting books to take home to keep.
Receptionist–assisting with light office duties and answering phones.
Furniture Sales–helping with the sale of furniture.
Thrift Shop–sort, stock, and sell merchandise in a retail setting.
Maintenance–helping to maintain the Brother Benno Center and residences

For more information about volunteering, call the Center at 760-439-1244, ext. 107 or fill out our volunteer form and we will be in touch as soon as possible.
